Bikeability

Bikeability in Schools We work throughout Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire delivering Bikeability within school settings.

Bikeability is based on the government's National Standard for cycling and instructor training, preparing people to cycle where cycling is permitted.

Bikeability is a progressive programme, in which trainees first master handling skills in a traffic free environment to complete level 1. Then we help develop the skills and confidence to cycle on local roads and simple junctions for level 2.

Level 3 includes tackling busier, multi-lane roads and complex junctions, traffic lights and roundabouts. Bikeability is designed to give young people the skills and confidence to ride, especially on roads.

Cycling is a life skill and learning to ride a bike is something we believe should be open to everyone. Our National Standards Cycling Instructors deliver Bikeability in schools, and are always there to make sure that children are learning in a fun, friendly and safe group environment.
